☁︎☽ soft-mid-october-update ☾☁︎

dear adventurers,

can you believe it's already been two weeks? We're back to a twice monthly update schedule, with the new thymeline discussed in the last update!

☯︎ my end is going ok, ups and downs. I managed to work 13/15 days consistently; only 2 zero days, and my average focused-work-minutes per day is still steadily increasing; though low compared to more able-bodied folks, or even myself a few years ago. (comparisons I try not to make, of course.)

I am kicking a sore-throat-cough with a lot of roast-garlic-squash soup, and while my cranio-cervical-instability-neck-pains are acting up; that's nothing in the grand scheme.

⚖︎ I've been more focused on the book and not logistics-bureaucracy, so I'll try for a balance of both in the next two weeks, to bang out more of my to do list. I want to get the backer survey out, and preorders back up.

also:   if anyone possibly has a direct connection to Obsidian Entertainment, the makers of the incredibly-well-crafted video game, Pentiment: I've reached out to them again (through their contact form) after no response the first time a while ago, and I would really like to talk to them about something. If you have a contact, could you please message me directly? (hint, I really really really like their fonts)

that's all for now; shorter updates more frequently. the cookbook is closer than ever now, thank you for your patience, your kindness, and your returning excitement as the path forward evens out again. <3

and to my royal welcome guard; thank you all especially for holding down the discord fort while discord/social-media is too much for me-- I love you all and think of you daily!

sleepily, but with resolve!

ps-- the lovely folks over at Zelda Dungeon (the indie fan wiki!) just posted their Zelda collections, and they are AWE INSPIRING. check them out: https://www.zeldadungeon.net/show-and-tell-zelda-dungeon-staff-show-off-their-collections-now-show-us-yours/
I am sure some of you might have collections to rival theirs?!? (not that it is a competition!) but I would love to see... perhaps that is something fun we can arrange? A nice fall cleaning of our zelda shrines...

pps– in autumn, I like to reset. rethink my digital habits, turn some things upside down. I am returning to analog evenings (best I can, lol), showering/bathing and journaling at night instead of my usual mornings. i'm already quite restrictive with screentime due to health stuff, but it's crazy how screentime can sneak up. trying to read more, look at art, MAKE art. did I show you this test woodcut print i made last year? (probably I did, but here it is again). it's a little witch castle, made with 2 wood blocks:

...it's just a test print; all I had time for last autumn before packing up all my things and moving across the ocean. the final prints will hopefully not have all that black smudging, called "chatter". I hope to come back to it and print more one day... but not the focus for the moment; printmaking is like mint, in that it can quickly take over the garden of a life! anyway, hope the little witch castle brings you a moment of whimsy joy! happy birthdays and talk to you in november! :)
